We at The Central London College of Reflexology aare fully accredited by ABC Awards, and deliver the new seven module qualification, accepted by the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). The AoR (www.aor.org.uk)) is the largest and most respected professional Reflexology organisations in the UK. They have Government recognition, are members of the Reflexology in Europe Network, and are members of the Reflexology Forum. They also offer insurance cover, regional support groups, an internationally recognised journal, advice and information services, promotional literature, research programmes and an ongoing educational programme. As a graduate of CLCR, you will be able to register with the NHS Register of Reflexologists, become a member of the AoR together with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). Lastly, all graduates of CLCR are allowed to use the initials MAR after their name. (Member of the Association of Reflexologists) Training takes the form of seven modules: Module Y501/9253 - Principles and Practice of Complementary Therapies Module T501/9101 - Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Module F501/9117 - Practical Reflexology Module K501/9256 - Health & Safety for Complementary Therapists Module D501/9111 - Less Common Pathologies for Complementary Therapists Module H501/9255 - Business Practice for Complementary Therapists Module A501/9116 - Reflective Practice for Reflexologists The modules are interchangeable, so if you have already studied one of these as part of another course, (i.e. you have a diploma in Anatomy & Physiology), then it is unnecessary to study A&P again. (NB: This only applies if you studied the new modular qualification with ABC Awards, C&G, ITEC or VTCT from 2011 onwards). During the diploma course, you will carry out 100 Reflexology treatments, three Practical Assessments and homework tasks to complete in your own time. There is no written examination - you will build a portfolio of work throughout the course, and upon successful completion of this, you will qualify as a professional Reflexologist. |
